Within a year, over 180 million people around the globe now use this chatbot. For sure, plenty of people registered on openai.com simply out of curiosity. It uses deep-learning algorithms, including neural networks, to process the information and generate almost-human-like text answering users\u2019 queries.<\/p><p class=\"nord-text text-base leading-normal text-black\">ChatGPT is not the first AI-based tool that made its way into our lives. However, there\u2019s a significant difference between OpenAI\u2019s child and Siri or Google Assistant: ChatGPT learns from us, humans. It may sometimes produce inaccurate or even biased information, but it gets smarter and more reliable with every prompt and piece of user feedback.<\/p><p class=\"nord-text text-base leading-normal text-black\">Now, let\u2019s dive into the concerns related to ChatGPT security.<\/p><h2 class=\"nord-text text-h2 leading-normal font-medium tracking-tight font-bold\" style=\"line-height: 1.2;\">ChatGPT security concerns<\/h2><p class=\"nord-text text-base leading-normal text-black\">We can put the safety concerns related to ChatGPT into a few different categories:<\/p><ul class=\"leading-loose List_list__BljM0\"><li class=\"ListItem_item__ZgGQo list-item\"><p class=\"nord-text text-base leading-normal text-black\"><b>Data security risks<\/b><\/p><\/li><\/ul><p class=\"nord-text text-base leading-normal text-black\">To talk with ChatGPT, a user must register on the creators&#8217; website, chat.openai.com. The platform requires your name, email address, password, and phone number to create an account, and \u2013 if you\u2019re going for the paid version \u2013 payment details. All <a class=\"nord-link cursor-pointer outline-none transition-colors duration-250 ease-out text-teal hover:text-teal-dark\" href=\"https:\/\/openai.com\/policies\/privacy-policy\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener noreferrer\" data-link=\"NordUIlink\">the mentioned data will be available to and stored by OpenAI<\/a>, possibly putting you at risk in case of a data breach.<\/p><p class=\"nord-text text-base leading-normal text-black\">OpenAI also collects chat history, which became available for other users during the ChartGPT 9-hour outage in March 2023.
