BRATISLAVA \u2014 January 20, 2022\u00a0<\/strong>\u2014\u00a0ESET<\/a>, a global leader in cybersecurity, has been named a Strategic Leader in the\u00a02021 Endpoint Prevention and Response (EPR) Comparative Report,<\/a>\u00a0one of the most comprehensive tests of endpoint detection and response (EDR) solutions and endpoint security products ever performed by AV-Comparatives. The ESET PROTECT Enterprise bundle<\/a>, which includes the ESET PROTECT management console, ESET Endpoint Security, ESET Enterprise Inspector and ESET Dynamic Threat Defense, version 8.1, was tested in the report.<\/p>

AV-Comparatives, a leading independent testing organization, well known for offering innovative real-world environment testing, subjected the products of 10 vendors to a set of 50 targeted attacks, each deployed by a variety of techniques and tactics.<\/p>

Based on this in-depth testing, AV-Comparatives developed an Enterprise EPR CyberRisk Quadrant\u2122 that \u201cfactors in the effectiveness of each product at preventing breaches, the calculated savings resulting from this, the purchase costs of the product, and the product\u2019s accuracy costs (incurred due to false positives).\u201d ESET and its solutions were named a Strategic Leader in the quadrant \u2014 the highest certification in the quadrant. Strategic Leaders are defined as \u201cEPR products that have a very high return on investment, and provide very low total cost of ownership\u2026 due to exceptional technical capabilities, combined with reasonable costs.\u201d Furthermore, Strategic Leaders \u201cdevelop ground-breaking ideas and implement these impressively in their products.\u201d<\/p>

ESET achieved high scores in the categories of active prevention, passive response, and combined prevention\/response capabilities, scoring 96%, 100%, and 98%, respectively.<\/p>

As stated in the report, ESET PROTECT Enterprise did exceptionally well when facing the 50 separate attack scenarios and demonstrated that it is an outstanding enterprise product. The easy-to-use intuitive console was praised, as well as the contextual data provided in order for security analysts to prioritize, mitigate, and further investigate threats.<\/p>
